Reviewed on 12.28.2010 (Review #784)
My next review of tha day, which iz my 7th, iz Lil’ Phat & Webbie “Trill 4 Life”, collab style! Start Time: 6:06 PM | End Time: 6:32 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “G-Shit”
Startin’ thangz off… >>> Damn, tha same beat Young Trayne had for “Gorilla In Me”? Wanna know tha history on dis ‘cause dat song’s a few years old! Although this iz definitely tight, I’m extremely distracted by tha robbed beat! LOL, what a different hook, too? Weird… My Rating: 3.9
02. “I Want It”
>>> Now, it sounds like a good, official, new Mouse beat! I thought I heard this before but I guess I can’t remember where (since it ain’t comin’ up in my iTunes). Tha “now don’t I—don’t I—don’t I—don’t I—don’t I—don’t I…” shit was also similar to “Buck In, Buck Out” from Maxx Out Boyz; did they take it from y’all? Weird again… ROFL @ “my baby need a bottle” (Lil’ Phat voice); dumb shit! My Rating: 4.2
03. “Roof” Feat. Beezy Bird
>>> Damn, what tha hell wit dis? This iz 3/3 wit tha stealing shit! Anotha robbed track: this was “Straight Stupid” from Ville Boyz and yea, Beezy Bird “bowin’” on tha background here; glad ta hear him featured on your songs! Where did tha idea of robbin’ beats come from? Was it tha producers’ ideas? If DJ B-Real iz known fa not showin’ Beezy Bird luv by tellin’ everyone he samples him, then, I’m sure he does tha same thing wit beats people buy from him? Not fair… I’m here ta save tha day!!!!! I gotta alert each of these people I talk to! Even though this iz pretty tight once again, this iz, quite, shocking to me… I’m at a loss for words! My Rating: 3.8
04. “We Ain’t Savin’ Dem”
What’ll this steal? >>> I don’t recognize tha beat this time and this iz on a decent level. Tha hook sounds pretty catchy… My Rating: 3.6
05. “Long Ways”
I feel like wit each song, I’m scared ta hear what’s next… >>> LOL, “B-Real on tha muthafuckin’ track”? Sounds different here but still, it’s dat good, Southern-styled beat. What was dat about “Shell”? I make sure I fuck wit him heavy… all day! Tha hook ain’t bad but I like tha “work” shit. My Rating: 3.7
06. “Get Ya Money Up”
>>> This iz decent fa me but good fa tha streetz. My Rating: 3.5
07. “Up In My Business” Feat. DJ B-Real
>>> What’s wit tha “B-Real on tha muthafuckin’ track” again, lol? This iz decent; I can’t connect too well wit what’s goin’ on here. I think tha content’s good and lol @ tha B-Real hook; funny how it came outta nowhere. My Rating: 3.8
08. “Splurge”
>>> Thought this was familiar, too, but it’s not. Not bad wit dis shit, either; tha beat’s pretty good… My Rating: 3.8
09. “Racks”
>>> ROFL @ tha “B-Real on tha muthafuckin’ track” thing again; how much you luv him, Phat? This iz tha consistent shit I really liked from y’all so I’m glad this iz finally here! Catchy-ass flow from Phat and dat street shit goin’ on here in tha content! Catchy shit to tha fullest; good job wit tha hook! My Rating: 4.3
½time: Controversial CD, I see… And, this iz makin’ money off err-thang. Only a 3.8 for tha CD rating, so far.
10. “Lovin’ U Is Wrong”
>>> Damn, why a gay-soundin’, NY-type beat? Barely any interest fa dis… My Rating: 3.1
11. “Lonely Now”
>>> More shit that’s not for me. This iz considered ‘mixtape music’? When I think of mixtapes, I think of each song goin’ hard, not soft! My Rating: 2.6
12. “Ain’t Leavin’ Trill”
>>> Finally, tha good production’s back. I like how it starts wit Webbie, doin’ a nice job wit tha consistent rhymes! Phat sounds good on dis, too; “Trill” style, lol! My Rating: 4.0
13. “Fuck Wit Me”
>>> Anotha good-soundin’ Webbie start. LOL, two wack songs in a row and then, two Webbie-startin’ songs in a row, lol. This one’s more catchy fa me; I like how y’all do tha damn thang on tha hook, in a catchy way! Good shit here, ya dig? My Rating: 4.1
14. “Local Niggas”
>>> Not bad… I like tha family-related lyrics here; nice and descriptive, lol. Tha hook’s pretty catchy. My Rating: 3.9
15. “Odds Against Me”
>>> Anotha Webbie-startin’ song, lol. This beat ain’t really anything but Webbie has tha rappin’ on lock. Okay, tha beat’s soundin’ a lil’ betta once it started kickin’ in. Sounds like some shit “against” you, Webbie; that sux. I’m glad I haven’t had much in-person experience, yet; learnin’ who’s real and fake by networkin’! My Rating: 3.7
16. “Tool”
>>> Nice, creepin’-up beat! Tha content iz definitely nice here and it’s really consistent wit tha rappin’!! Tha hook’s cool, too, ya dig? My Rating: 4.2
17. “Light My Fire (Remix)”
Doesn’t look like somethin’ I’d like… >>> Oh, a Bounce style in tha beginning vocals? Interestin’. Oh yea, this was a formerly, Savage-produced song. Now, it sounds like it’s updated in a hot, Bounce way!! Catchy hook and you got shit on lock here, Phat! My Rating: 4.2
18. “If If Was A Fifth”
Thought it was “it” but there’s two “ifs”; let’s hear dis… >>> Slow start and not that interestin’ fa me. Tha only thing iz some of tha content but not really into a song… Okay, tha hook’s startin’ ta sound catchy and real; likin’ it! My Rating: 3.7
Overall: Not too bad for a mixtape although I expected better. How controversial wit stealin’ tha two beats in tha beginning!
