Already
up ta my 5th review for today: Lil’
Boosie “Golden Child IV: Play Now, Cry
Later”. Start Time: 5:21 PM
| End Time: 5:50 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0
– 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I
don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like
it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites,
I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I
love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s
considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a
5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I
listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of
tha song while I’m listening to it.

01.
“Hey Feds” Feat. Ray Vicks
Ooh,
callin’ out to tha “feds”, lol? >>> Now, when hearin’ this Big Wayne
“no it ain’t Timbaland” beat tag, I actually think it sounds like a Timbaland beat this time. Soundin’ good here
and you goin’ off in tha 1st verse wit your consistent, anti-“feds”
content! ROFL @ tha Plies sample in tha hook; was he really tellin’ a story? Or, was it a fairytale? ROFL @ Ray Vicks on
tha 2nd verse! Automatically, he has ta have tha “feds” like him,
too? Funny… My Rating: 4.4
02.
“You Don’t Know”
A
BJ beat, ya dig? Sounds good fa a start; gotta feel tha Baton Rouge vibe in tha beat! You sound
catchy on tha hook—minus tha Biggie flow. Tha 1st verse sounds
pretty good; lots of shit goin’ on in your world. Keepin’ tha personal shit
goin’, tha 2nd verse iz pretty good, too; keepin’ it consistent. Tha
3rd verse sounds good, too; you representin’ fa tha people in jail,
too. Now, I have ta say dat tha Biggie flow iz a lil’ catchy, now, lol. My Current Rating: 4.3
03.
“Devils” Feat. Foxx
Savage
and Da New Kidd doin’ a nice job on this beat here! Sounds pretty nice wit tha
tight content you have goin’ on here; good shit! Tha hook’s real catchy, lol.
Here comes Foxx on tha 2nd verse, spittin’ some hot shit! This song definitely has real shit ta offer; you
know what it iz wit those “devils”, lol. My
Current Rating: 4.5
04.
“What I Learned From The Streets” Feat. Shell
LOL,
all album cuts? Thought I saw dis shit before but it’s new; I feel anticipated!
Slow start wit you spittin’ some good rhymes, wit an attitude, in tha 1st
verse! Tha hook’s definitely official wit “learnin’”
thangz. Tha 2nd verse iz good; you got a lot of shit ta offer for
“tha streetz” here, my boy! REALLY
lookin’ forward ta hearin’ Shell!! Here he iz, spittin’ dat real, street shit!
Nice and smooth wit tha flow and keepin’ it G; dumb shit! My Current Rating: 4.3
05.
“Chill Out”
Good
vibes here in tha beat and it sounds like you ready ta spit some shit. Tha 1st
verse good and tha hook sounds good wit how you say tha title and how tha beat
sounds sound! Tha 2nd verse good once again! You really got a lotta
followers so it’s a plus ta put it in a song! Sounds like Lil’ Trill on tha 3rd
verse, just comin’ through wit some pretty-good shit. I won’t source anyone
‘til I officially know; does he say, “nigga,” yet? My Current Rating: 4.3
06.
“Do It Again” Feat. Lil’ Phat & K.T.
Not
really likin’ dis beat intro; too soft. I rather hear tha X-rated shit just
like tha last song. This iz Big Wayne on tha beat? Shit no, can’t be… This iz
really not for me at all; K.T. doesn’t sound too good on tha hook either. I
thought I was gonna see an automatic five-star rated Boosie CD for a second,
lol! Maybe next time? Lil’ Phat actually has a good verse, too. This could’ve
been an easy 4.0 rating if it wasn’t on this weird-Pop shit. My Current Rating: 2.6
07.
“Done It All” Feat. Mistah Fab, Yo Gotti & Tamaj
A
new song but none of those artists are from Louisiana; not sure how much I’ll take dis
serious… >>> Sounds like a pretty good, non-Louisiana-mainstream song.
You came through pretty nice on tha 1st verse wit everything you
have “done”. How random ta have Mistah Fab? Don’t think I heard him since four
years ago durin’ tha Hyphy dayz, lol. Yo Gotti did a pretty good job, too,
contributin’ good. My Rating: 4.0
½time: Only two new songs fa me;
4.1
CD rating so far.
08.
“Calling Me”
What
nice production sounds in tha
beginning! A song for tha ladies dat sounds pretty tight! Good shit here! Tha
production, content, and y’all make dis shit on ‘n’ poppin’! Good shit you got
goin’ on here in tha 1st verse. ROFL, “she put ice on my nuts;” you
and tha penis area! :rofl ROFL!! Keepin’ it goin’ wit tha 2nd verse
wit “eat tha dick while I’m playin’ Madden;”
OMG! :rofl My Current Rating: 4.1
09.
“Nitelife” Feat. Red Rum
Feature
doesn’t look familiar and same wit dis title; how will dis sound? >>>
Wow, a street anthem here. Sounds like Rocko’s kinda music, on an ATL level. Must
be Red Rum on tha 1st verse, definitely not a Louisiana artist wit tha “804 to tha 305”
line. Sounds interestin’ ta randomly recruit dis dude on here. Oh, he said, “Richmond;” that’s where
he’s from, I guess. You’re on tha 2nd verse and it’s soundin’ pretty
good… My Rating: 4.2
10.
“I’m Ballin’” Feat. Ray Vicks
LOL,
anotha new joint… Ray Vicks might be invaded by cops again, lol! >>>
Only 1:46 on tha length? Decent hook, nothin’ special. LOL, Ray Vicks on tha 1st
verse, spittin’ boring, undefined lyrics. Really, “Big Wayne on tha track”?
Absolutely doesn’t sound like him except on tha keys, smh. I don’t get why I’m
not hearin’ tha beat patterns or anything… :td My Rating: 3.6
11.
“Can’t Hold It In No More” Feat. Locco
>>>
Must be Big Wayne on tha beat again ‘cause it sounded like tha beat didn’t even
stop. Not bad/good Boosie rhymes. Tha hook sounds pretty familiar wit Locco on
it. I thought I had heard dis before? Anyway, pretty good fa what it iz; sounds
betta than when I first heard it. My Current
Rating: 3.8
12.
“What Goes Up”
This
and “That River” on similar soundings… Not bad of a song/pretty catchy… My Current Rating: 3.9
13.
“That River”
Good
Big Wayne beat right chea! Sounds good fa a start. Nice hook; interestin’
concept, ya dig? Good job wit this song, doin’ ya thang. My Current Rating: 4.2
14.
“Take Me To Jail”
>>>
Thought I heard dis before but I guess not? An aight hook but a weird
perspective, lol! Why do so many people like
“jail”? Actually, I did hear dis and I’m feelin’ it a lil’ more than before. My Current Rating: 3.7
15.
“Hard Tymes” Feat. B.G.
Still
LUV B.G.’s “wzzam, WUZZAM” shit! :tu For some reason, I’m
likin’ this; I guess ‘cause it’s more of B.G. on tha hook than you. Tha hook
has some good street in it although this sounds kinda low? B.G.’s on tha 1st
verse and of course, street shit to tha fullest! Almost sounds mumbled, lol?
You’re on tha 2nd verse, spittin’ shit dat err-body knows about,
lol! Tha 3rd verse iz Gizzle and tha voice’s a lil’ soft here but
tha content’s good… You’re back onto tha 2nd ½ of tha 3rd
verse; not bad… My Current Rating: 3.7
Overall: Good for a compilation, I’d say.
