Review #749: Fizz, D.C., Black & Rand "Months Later Before The Mixtapes"

Time for tha 2nd review I have today: Fizz, D.C., Black & Rand “Months Later Before The Mixtapes”, a four-way combo here of some of tha Record Section Entertainment family. This iz music ranged from 2007 – Early 2009; how will it go? Start Time: 10:55 AM | End Time: 11:45 AM


Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “You See Me”
Startin’ off wit a DatPiff-removed song, lol. I guess you went tha jacked-beat route? >>> LOL, doesn’t sound dat jacked; pretty good rappin’ you got, Fizz, lol. My Rating: 4.0


02. “You Ain’t Ready”
>>> Sounds like it’s pretty good; I like what y’all bringin’ to tha table! Definitely a good, gangsta-type hook, lol. Nice job wit tha 1st verse; good shit here! I like tha 2nd verse and tha attitude; good-ass shit! Tha 3rd verse’s pretty nice, too; gutta shit here! My Rating: 4.3


03. “Will You Ride”
>>> Hook sounds gay and childish. Fizz, you sound pretty good on dis. My Rating: 3.6


04. “Tom”
LOL? >>> What tha hell? It’s so loud! I’m likin’ tha “picked on” shit but this sounds a lil’ too weird for somethin’ I’d expect ta hear. What tha hell? Iz tha 2nd ½ of tha song just a beat? I assume this iz ’07 or somethin’ before you knew how ta shorten lengths and fix qualities… My Rating: 2.6


05. “Throw That Azz On Me (Bounce)”
Let’s get it! >>> “’08” style; good intro wit no beat. Okay, 30 seconds and no beat, still? Afta 1:07, tha song’s finally start. I like tha B-More/mixin’ vocals in tha hook; good shit! Faster than “What It Is” wit tha rhymes, lol! As good as this iz, I don’t like how it took ova a minute ta start. My Rating: 4.1


06. “Want Cha”
>>> Back to regular pace… Sounds like a decent song, like a slower version of tha previous song. Not much ta say here; at least tha length ain’t too long. Tha 2nd verse a lil’ below average, unfortunately. My Rating: 3.3


07. “They Say”
>>> A lil’ longer; hope I can keep my interest up. Sounds like a “Record Section” Entertainment anthem wit this beat and how y’all comin’ through wit it; pretty good… Okay, this iz startin’ ta get borin’ and I got anotha 2:26 ta go… My Rating: 3.4


08. “That’s What We Like”
>>> Damn, anotha really long song? “’07” this time? No wonder why it’s long. LOL, “Polo” at tha time? Shout out ta tha “’Bauds”, too; good, interestin’ shit here on tha hook. Let’s see if tha verses can keep it up… LOL, Fizz already “Polo down” fa ’07; that’s what’s up! I’m likin’ what tha song’s offer (luckily, not sayin’ tha word “swag” for some reason; iz it ‘cause it’s ’07?) but slightly borin’ wit tha flows. My Rating: 3.7


½time: Not too bad although some of this iz boring me. Keep tha undaground shit up, though! Currently: 3.6-rated CD.


09. “Screwed Up”
LOL, DatPiff didn’t like… >>> Only tha last seven seconds had shit ta say, unfortunately; not bad. My Rating: 3.5


10. “Murder”
>>> I’m likin’ this beat start; sounds like some old, undaground, Louisiana Rap shit! Tha hook’s pretty good; good shit here! Catchy lil’ verse, Fizz. My Rating: 3.9


11. “Look At Shawty”
>>> Damn, almost five minutes long wit a “Lollipop”-soundin’ beat? I hope I get ta skip it!! Hook’s pretty gay and so iz tha content, too; can’t believe dis iz almost five minutes! My Rating: 1.1


12. “Like A Star”
>>> LOL, Fizz in tha beginning, soundin’ younger. Again, anotha weird-soundin’ hook? Because it sounds like a baby, I think I’ll like it, especially how it repeats, lol. Not bad on your 1st verse but what tha hell iz this? Tha 3rd verse sounds like Biggie’s bein’ dickrided or somethin’. My Rating: 2.4


13. “I Ain’t Never”
>>> Finally, a short length! Kinda slow on tha beat… I dunno what ta say here, lol. Funny, random adlibs. My Rating: 3.1


14. “Feel Like I’m Dying”
ROFL? >>> At least it ain’t tha Wayne beat. Although not my style in tha beat, it actually sounds pretty good wit you rappin’ on it; thumbs up to havin’ an attitude here… That end hook’s pretty good. My Rating: 3.6


15. “Do The Thang”
>>> Tha beat sounds like original Louisiana music; pretty good… Good representation for tha are—oh, it’s just for “hoes,” smh? I thought this was more on a “G-Lane, they fuck wit me. This area, they fuck wit me”-type level. Again, decent wit nothin’ ta really say. My Rating: 3.0


16. “Boy U Pussy; U A Hoe”
Where’s tha semi-colon on tha title? :confused >>> ROFL @ this “’07” quality and this title!! :rofl How random ta be tight! You’re on tha 1st verse wit good shit but a somewhat-lacking flow… Tha 2nd verse somewhat sounds good but lacks on tha shit that’s spit; does EVERY verse have ta have somethin’ ‘bout “hoes” in it, smh? Tha 3rd verse sounds like Way 3000 rappin’, lol. My Rating: 4.0


17. “Bucked Up & Fucked Up”
Not past tense on tha title? :confused >>> Yea, lemme add tha “ed”, lol. Sounds pretty good on this beat vs. some of this otha shit. Pretty-good ending song. My Rating: 3.8


Overall: I know this shit’s old but yea, you have improved since.
