Review #5 for today: Ville Boyz “The Definition Of Throwed”, when they were wit My Hood Entertainment! I don’t know what year dis from (maybe they’ll say it) so this should be pretty undaground! All I know iz it’s their 1st mixtape! Start Time: 3:37 PM | End Time: 4:06 PM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. “Intro”
>>> Sounds a lil’ different from typical, content wise. Sounds pretty good, doin’ tha damn thang, consistently. Tha hook’s somewhat catchy… in a way, too, even though a lot of people make “hater” songs. My Rating: 4.2
02. “24-7” Feat. Lil’ Keisha & JD Da Iron Kid
What’s up wit dat name wit a “J” in it, lol? Let’s hear dis. >>> A pretty-good-soundin’ Vybe beat that y’all doin’ a nice job on. Tha female dat popped outta nowhere sounded random on tha hook. Good rappin’, once again, as y’all hold down tha consistent rappin’! It’s real: “24/7” fa tha consistency, lol! My Rating: 4.3
03. “Swagg Flu”
Not my kinda title so let’s see here… >>> Anotha good-soundin’ Vybe beat. Tha hook’s aight; I dunno what else ta say about it. This ain’t too bad; good ta still hear y’all rap, though. My Rating: 3.8
04. “I’m Feelin’ You” Feat. Lil’ Keisha
I guess tha “ajd” on her name from “24-7” wasn’t meant ta be there. Let’s hear dis collab. >>> Interestin’ Vybe beat this time! I’m likin’ how all y’all are on tha hook; she sounds betta this time, too. Tha content ain’t too bad, either. Just decent content but a good hook… My Rating: 4.3
05. “All I Know”
>>> Bring out tha Vybe beat again! Tha beginning beat sounds like it samples a Vocal Trance song’s beat I knew from a few years ago; interestin’. Okay, tha content’s on a better tip wit tha rapid-fire rappin’; definite plus here! Definitely feelin’ how y’all bringin’ tha heat on dis beat to tha fullest! Tha hook’s vocals are a lil’ gay but not tha worst… LOL, this was so short. My Rating: 4.2
06. “Strike A Pose” Feat. Smoke & Mr. E
>>> Vybe beat once again. This sounds pretty good once again; feelin’ tha energy. Tha hook’s catchy, lol. “Hit tha club on them 6’s;” how random! Damn, “you can call me Markee”? I thought it was Big “Markee” for a second, R.I.P.! Cool shit and ROFL, “I got Obama money;” like y’all think he’s special, now, lol. Tha rest of this shit has some consistent content ta offer; gotta feel it! “Wreckin’ shit like a tidal wave!” My Rating: 4.4
07. “My Dawgz”
>>> Must be anotha Vybe beat wit this video-game machine sound in tha beginning, lol. “V-I-double L-E” reppin’ here, lol! Yup, a Vybe beat and that was a nice intro! Really reppin’ fa y’all “dawgz” here; definitely a plus! Gotta feel this kinda shit to tha fullest, ya dig? Sounds pretty obsessive wit “take a bullet for” here; I dunno how y’all trigger those feelings. Pretty interestin’ hearin’ dis shit; very personal in a way. My Rating: 4.4
½time: Y’all managed ta get a 4.2 for tha CD rating, so far; keep it up!
08. “Swangin’”
>>> Da, da, da, …no Vybe, lol! Sounds like a good jam ta “swang” to. Tha rappin’s pretty good. “Alabama, dat be my home;” reppin’ there? Interestin’ ta combine wit BR… “Like Pleasure P, I did you wrong;” this must be from ’08, tha earliest. My Rating: 4.3
09. “Call Me” Feat. Lil’ Keisha & JD Da Iron Kid
>>> Vybe again, lol. A lil’ too soft fa me; nothin’ much here. I have ta say dat Keisha’s doin’ a not-so-bad job on tha hook. Tha 2nd verse sounds betta, though; good rappin’. My Rating: 3.3
10. “Watch ‘Em” Feat. Smoke, Mr. E & JD Da Iron Kid
>>> This sounds good. Once tha rappin’ comes in, it sounds much betta; gotta luv tha fast rappin’! I think this iz pretty catchy as far as tha hook and what y’all bringin’ to tha table in a positive attitude, ya dig? My Rating: 4.2
11. “It Ain’t Eazy” Feat. Lil’ Keisha
>>> Although tha production in tha beat sounds strong, I dunno how interestin’ dis iz fa me. Good rappin’; not bad. I don’t like Keisha’s moanin’/winin’ in tha background… My Rating: 3.5
12. “Right Now” Feat. Lil’ Keisha
>>> Sounds like it’s for tha ladies… LOL, here comes Vybe again. Must be Lil’ Keisha on tha hook; I’ll include her on tha ID. Sounds like tha hook’s takin’ somethin’ but also, it almost sounds like Keri Hilson/Lil’ Wayne “Turnin’ Me On”. Even though (I don’t think) that song wasn’t out, at tha moment, it’s quite odd dat it’s in this hook. Tha beat ain’t too bad, overall; sounds pretty good on tha verses, too. My Rating: 3.7
13. “Do Dis For Bama” Feat. Tommy Carter
LOL @ tha “Bama” shit… >>> LOL, Vybe again! LOL, tha most energy comes outta dis song, lol? Feelin’ tha energy to tha fullest as well as tha reppin’! LOL, “Alabama swag;” gotta feel dis shit! My Rating: 4.5
14. “Crazy World” Feat. J-Walk & Lil’ Keisha
>>> How come Keisha’s on so many songs? Anotha Vybe beat, lol. This iz aight fa tha hook; not a bad job. Nice shit comin’ outta tha 1st verse about tha “world” even though decent for a song. My Rating: 3.8
15. “Lord I Thank You”
Not my kinda title. >>> Even though I like tha quality of tha beat and what’s goin’ on here. However, it’s just decent for a song; at least it ain’t bad for me. Pretty-good lyrics, too… My Rating: 3.9
Overall: Pretty-good job fa a 1st. I know y’all are onto original production now and stay on tha grind; keep it up!
