Reviewed on 12.22.2010 (Review #727)
My 2nd review of tha day iz K-Chill “Gorillaville”, doin’ a lil’ album action here, ya dig? Start Time: 8:46 AM | End Time: 9:42 AM
Quick Note: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion!! I only please myself wit my ratings!! I don’t care how lyrical you are! As long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much REALLY LOVE it as it’s considered “mindblowin’” when I hear it. Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song. Anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it.

01. Intro
>>> You know what it iz; you ‘bout ta do tha damn thang!! My Rating: N/A
02. “Gorillaville”
>>> Sounds like some HOT 90’s, Ice Cube-type shit here! I’m really likin’ how you deliverin’ tha rhymes, comin’ through wit dat raw shit! Nice job wit tha 1st verse and wow at tha hook; REALLY definin’ “Gorillaville” to tha fullest!! What a GR8 hook; 100% ON A STREET LEVEL!!! Tha 2nd verse defines tha gangsta side of “Gorillaville”; good-ass shit!! LOL, iz it all a ‘have-ta-do-drugs’ or ‘have-ta-sell-drugs’ perspective ta be “from Gorillaville”, lol? I hope I’m invited as a member despite my actions… Good 3rd verse, too; DEFINITE anthem here!!! My Rating: 4.7
03. “Whoa”
“Whoa” iz right, ya dig? Let’s hear it! >>> “2 G 4”; that doesn’t mean 2004, right? Because of that thought, I think of a younger K-Chill or somethin’ on tha mic right now… You sound good, doin’ tha damn thang on this beat! Almost reminds me of when I first heard Nu$$ie’s “Bad Azz” CD; just, GR8, undaground, Louisiana Rap music!!! Tha hook’s DEFINITELY on anotha gangsta/get-out-K-Chill’s-way-type hook!! You REALLY representin’!!! I like how you randomly came through wit tha “bruh” part in tha 2nd verse; doin’ tha damn thang here! “It’s like” a big PARTY when you do tha damn thang, you know?!? Nice job wit tha 3rd verse; you feel like an A+ star wit dis shit! My Rating: 4.5
04. Interlude
Let’s hear it! >>> LOL, you even have big dawgs, too? What about a golden retriever, lol? A lil’ gangsta? Why would somebody shoot a “dog”? My Rating: N/A
05. “Stop Hatin’”
>>> LOL, you know what you doin’ wit these anthems!! Sounds pretty good wit tha energetic hook and tha GR8 vibe between tha beat and you deliverin’ tha rhymes!! Tha 1st verse has some TIGHT gangsta shit goin’ on once again; you know what it iz!! Even mo advice throughout tha 2nd verse; you got a smart mind wit dis shit! Keepin’ tha 3rd verse goin’ wit dat real shit; good job, big dawg!! My Rating: 4.5
06. “Draped Up”
Switchin’ up to jacked beats? Can’t be ‘cause it’s an “album”… >>> Good, it’s not, and it sounds REAL, REAL NICE wit dat Southern feel dat I luv!!! Well, you stole tha hook here, lol. Regardless, your version DEFINITELY sounds like a NICE update, ya dig? I think this iz 2004: “for tha 2 G 4, I switched it up…” Can you confirm to me if it’s really so I can have these songs as good 2000-2004 songs to play? Then again, this didn’t rip off “Draped Up” if it was from ’04? “If I can count how many hoes I fuck”? LOL, where does tha communication wit tha fuckin’ come from? Like, where does it begin and how does it progess far/multiple times? Consistent wit tha 3rd verse, too; good shit!! My Rating: 4.6
07. Interlude
LOL, anotha one? Hope you don’t kill a dog this time… >>> Oh no, on a “hoes” tip, lol… “I got a pocket fulla 1’s;” seriously? It’s okay; chill out, lol. My Rating: N/A
08. “Twerk It Rite”
>>> Tha production iz DEFINITELY on point here!!! Because of tha ’04 in vision, I feel dat there DEFINITELY ain’t no wack, Auto-Tune, gay dancin’-type shit here!! Those vocals sound like tha kinda shit you’d hear in tha ’04 dayz of tha undaground; good shit! This sounds like when Dirty South music was actually Dirty South music from different areas! Everyone wants ta sound tha same wit dis gay production now. Then, it was REAL HOT for me ta embrace anywhere in tha South!! Nice lil’ shit you spit in tha 1st verse; this joint’s definitely nice… Once again, feelin’ tha hook; hope you got a lotta free “ass” from dis, lol. LMAO, “got me hard just like a statue;” ROFL, how random! Tha flow’s DEFINITELY nice on tha 2nd verse: “make it hard ta breathe again like Toni Braxton.” If I would’ve known dis was an ’04 CD, I would’ve put it in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon, consistin’ of all Louisiana CDs from back in tha day! Good ending wit tha chantin’! My Rating: 4.5
½time: Anotha A+ CD from you; 4.6 for tha CD rating on tha ½ point? You REALLY doin’ tha damn thang!!!!! Tha production’s DEFINITELY nice and you comin’ through wit REAL HOT songs!!!
09. “Say What” Feat. Lady Kym
>>> Sounds like it bound ta be REAL HOT; REALLY lookin’ forward ta hearin’!!! Lady Kym on tha feature? Think I heard this on tha “Greatest Hits” CD? I remember tha “piece swang” shit. Yea, this iz that same song and it sounds hotter than befo’ ta hear err-thang you got! GR8 collab; interestin’ hype! Lady Kym “smokin’ dat sticky;” she official wit it! You and her do a NICE job on this song!! You’re doin’ a good job deliverin’ tha final verse, keepin’ dat gangsta shit hot wit a female on tha track, no less! I still luv tha Nu$$ie/Big Markee/Shop Shutters vibe wit tha content; DEFINITE PLUS wit how y’all bringin’ it to tha table!! My Current Rating: 4.6
10. “Pop A Ex”
LOL, you been rollin’ back in tha ’04 dayz? Should be interestin’ (if I haven’t heard it already)! >>> I have a feelin’ I heard this; I remember tha chantin’! Yup, from tha “Greatest Hits” CD; CRAZY SHIT ONCE AGAIN!!! LOL, tha “ex” puts you in a mood ta “not give a fuck”? Funny… Real nice job on tha 1st verse, especially havin’ Lil’ Jon chant, “okay,” in tha background! “I’m fulla dem pillz, I’m ‘bout ta snatch ya bitch;” interestin’ how somethin’ so tiny can make you do somethin’ like dat… It’s funny ta me… You’re this big dude and let this tiny thing take full control of you; it’s, just, funny… I’ve neva seen anybody act like this in person, though; I wonder when I will? My Current Rating: 4.6
11. “Da Both Of You”
Looks like somethin’ I’d lol at… >>> All of a sudden, thangs slowed down? Oh, as soon as tha rappin’ started, tha beat came in. I did like tha beat sound in tha beginning; luvin’ these flashback in visions. Good shit you spittin’ as well as tha lady on tha hook, too. Definitely some good shit you got goin’ on here; tha Down South vibes!!! Tha 2nd verse sounds betta; you comin’ through wit dat guttaness, regardless of what subject tha song’s on! Tha 3rd verse sounds like a feature? Then, it sounds like you doin’ a nice job, alternatin’ wit this rapper. It would’ve been nice if you put tha features instead of those gay tags in your search description that have nothin’ ta do wit this CD! My Rating: 4.2
12. Commercial
LOL, finna make a “commercial” fa Shutdown Thursdays later today, ya dig? Let’s hear dis “commercial”… >>> Good, a dignity level here wit hollain’ at both “[yo] niggaz and [yo] females.” Wit my music, I’m glad to put out as many copies as possible. I want people to hear my music as well as knowin’ that there’s a lotta copies out there. I don’t sell many copies ‘cause I have a lack of in-person business, at tha moment. Interestin’ shit you talkin’ ‘bout here wit tha “talk me” shit in tha background of this good beat. “Go vote”? This had ta have been Fall 2004 then? My Rating: N/A
13. “Down South”
You know what it iz!! >>> Good intro and as soon as tha title came outta nowhere, I really started ta FEEL dis shit!!! DEFINITELY luvin’ tha flashback music!! REAL GLAD you been doin’ it fa a while!! DEFINITELY a “Down South” joint to tha fullest!!! “(Down South) We smoke on dem big-ass blunts;” dumb shit!! I like how you have a BIG picture wit everything, lol! You keepin’ it goin’ throughout a whole verse here, doin’ tha damn thang for tha Southerners! My Rating: 4.4
14. “You Don’t Know Me”
I’m glad I do… in a way. >>> Sounds like anotha Southern-type beat wit a 4:31 length, too. It’s for tha “ladies” this time? I think I gon enjoy this ‘cause of my ’04 perspective! Yea, tha beat kicked in and it sounds like you’re rappin’ good off it; good shit! Ooh, tha hook sounds like Big Ed and some of tha older Louisiana artists! Now that’s tha kinda R&B voice I like fa tha hook! Keepin’ it Southern wit no Auto-Tune, no wining, and pure Louisiana!! Tha 2nd verse sounds pretty good, too; you givin’ down tha rules and descriptions! Tha 3rd verse sounds good, too; once again, you doin’ you to these ladies, lol! My Rating: 4.4
15. “On My Way”
Keepin’ it goin’! >>> Anotha longer song; smooth start here… Sounds like good, laidback, swangin’ Texas music, lol. Nice job on this hook; real good way you thought of makin’ these songs! Tha 1st verse sounds good; reminds me of tha same concept as tha previous song. Tha rest of this shit sounds good as you’re enjoyin’ life in a REAL nice, laidback way! My Rating: 4.3
16. “Pop A Ex (Remix)”
ROFL at this again!! Get it? “Rollin’” on tha floor?!? LOL! >>> Damn, this iz over six minutes long? That’s, like, double tha size of tha original version, lol! You doin’ tha damn thang here once again! I think I might like this and tha original version nearly tha same—as far as ratings. But, tha other one had a betta sound ta me while this one has more ta offer. Sounds like a bunch of dancin’, too. Since this iz ’04, I can’t think negatively (like “Stanky Legg” or any of dat shit)! Even tha long, over-two-minute beat outro sounds good, too! My Rating: 4.5
Overall: You DEFINITELY got yourself ANOTHA 5-star CD right chea, my boy!!! REALLY felt tha vibes on this CD and tha GR8 ’04 perspective I had all tha way through!! Good shit; keep this shit up!! You’re REALLY consistent wit it!!
